Aluminum h Channels
We, at BK-ALPROF, manufacture aluminum h channels from alloys 6060 and 6063. These h aluminum extrusions are durable and highly corrosion resistant due to the finishing techniques that we apply. Contact our sales team to promptly create your custom order and receive it in your country.
Uses and Advantages of h Aluminum Extrusions
Aluminum h profiles are used for various purposes. For instance, they are widely applied in stretch ceiling systems. Attached to the wall along the perimeter of the room, at a distance of 1.5 cm from the base of the ceiling it supports the canvas which is tucked into the h profile staying firmly fixed. The gap between the wall and the canvas can be up to 12 mm but covered afterward.
Also, these profiles can be applied for making LED strips. They are much superior to any plastic ones due to the following advantages.
The main advantages of using extruded aluminum h channels are strength, durability, the ability to harmoniously fit into the interior, and ease of installation. Aluminum is a fire-resistant material that does not contain compounds harmful to health or the environment.
Finished Aluminum h Profiles
We finish h-channel profiles by
anodizing or
powder coating. Let’s take a closer look at how different or similar these techniques are.
Advantages of Anodized h Channels
Anodizing is an electrochemical process in which the surface of aluminum is transformed to create a very durable invisible layer. This process can be combined with electrolytic dyeing to create a range of UV-resistant shades. The layer or film does not affect the composition of the metal itself, so anodized aluminum is fully recyclable.
As a result of this treatment, we obtain a particularly durable corrosion-resistant pure aluminum product that retains all the qualities, including its characteristic metallic luster of natural aluminum.
This process allows you to adjust the thickness of the anode film depending on the requirements for the final product.
Anodizing is a unique aluminum processing technology that improves its surface properties. Here are the main features of anodized aluminum h channels:
- Metallic luster and natural look;
-
Excellent corrosion resistance;
-
Over 30 years of properties;
-
No risk of loss of coating adhesion;
-
No risk of fading;
-
No risk of flaking of the coating;
-
Preservation of the original surface texture;
-
Impermeability of the anode film;
-
Significant wear resistance.
The production process will be carried out in accordance with modern environmental standards.
Advantages of Powder Coated h Channels
Powder coating is widely used in the manufacturing of lowercase h channels. To give a more aesthetic appearance and to increase strength, powder paints are applied to aluminum surfaces. The result is a protective layer that prevents metal corrosion.
The procedure for painting an aluminum profile consists of several stages, the main ones are:
-
Cleaning the surface from all contaminants that could impair adhesion. This stage includes the removal of dust, grease. This event will increase the adhesion of the paint to the base by half, or even three times.
-
Dye application. The process takes place under the influence of electrostatic voltage. Particles of paint form a durable coating without smudges.
