Lightweight yet strong aluminum t shaped profiles are available in a wide variety of sizes. This allows them to be used in many areas: in decoration to hide architectural joints, in the production of furniture, and in the manufacturing of translucent outdoor and interior structures.

The only drawback of the T-shaped profile made of untreated aluminum is its low resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage. We produce aluminum extrusions that go through the anodizing process and are devoid of this drawback. We offer materials that:

  • Have a service life of at least 40 years;
  • Are resistant to scratches and abrasion. For this, aluminum oxide is used, recognized as the second hardest after diamond on the Mohs scale. In this case, the film layer is inextricably linked to the surface, due to which its peeling or cracking is impossible;
  • Are resistant to corrosion. The properties of the anodized aluminum profile are preserved when used in wet rooms and outdoors, with constant contact with water, chlorides, and sulfates in precipitation and air.
Our aluminum T-profiles are produced in several shades (silver, gold, brown, pearl). For more information on available colors, terms of production of T-shaped profiles of the required amount, and delivery conditions, contact our sales team.

We also produce aluminum angles, beams, tubes, trims, etc. If you don't see the extrusion you want to order, contact us about ordering a custom aluminum profile that matches your requirement.

FAQ

Why choose extruded aluminum T bars?
By the extrusion process, a long product is obtained with an even cross-section shape over its entire length. The cross-section can be more complex than that of a bar or tube. Depending on the shape of its cross-section, an extrusion is called a solid, semi-hollow, or hollow. An aluminum tee bar is a solid extrusion.

Extrusion is a shaping medium that is not unique to aluminum, but this material is the only one whose formability allows for elaborately shaped structural profiles that meet complex specific needs.
How aluminum T bars are made?
The common process of extruding aluminum T bars is hot forming (450 °C to 500 °C). An aluminum billet is pressed through the orifice of a die. Preheating the billets is necessary to bring the metal to a temperature at which it will be malleable enough to flow under pressure through the die. This preheating also makes it possible to reach the temperature necessary for dissolving the elements for heat-treatable alloys.

In the press, the metal is forced under pressure to pass through a die. The force required to make the billet pass through a die is applied by a hydraulic piston. Depending on its size, the press can generate a force that varies from a few hundred tons to over 20,000 tons. The choice of a press should normally be correlated with the dimensions of the extruded parts.

Billets used for extruding T bars are long solid aluminum cylinders varying in diameter from 6 inches to 18 inches.
What alloys are used for the production of extruded aluminum T bars?
All alloys can be extruded, but with some it is more difficult than with others. The 6XXX family alloys (Al-MgSi) make up 90% of extruded aluminum and are used in both structural and architectural applications.

They remain industry favorites for their good malleability at high temperatures, also they are easily heat-treated, respond well to finishing treatments and subsequent processing operations; and that they offer good corrosion resistance. You can also find profiles made in alloys of the family 3XXX and 1XXX. A small tonnage of certain 2XXX and 7XXX alloys is also extruded.

6060 and 6063 aluminum are the most popular alloys for T bars. Good surface finish, good corrosion resistance, can be easily heat treated.
What alloys do you use for making aluminum T-shaped profiles?
We use 6060 and 6063 alloys for most of our products.
How many aluminum T-shaped extrusions can I order?
The minimum order quantity you can order is 500 kg or 1102 lbs.
What countries do you ship to?
We provide worldwide shipping.
